Seattle at San Diego

The Mariners came into this season as an American League frontrunner, but they are off to an 8-10 start, one game out of the AL West basement. San Diego is off to a solid 10-6 start. This should be a good pitcher's duel with Randy Vasquez and his 1.03 ERA facing Emerson Hancock (1.02 ERA). The Padres are 3-0 in Vasquez's three starts this season, but I'm expecting the Seattle bats to get hot. The M's have an 8-run scoring margin and are patient hitters. Early-season records are given too much attention, as are hot streaks like the one San Diego's been on. We're getting good value on the road team here. Take Seattle.
