Pretty steep price to pay for pitchers that have exchanged places. Jeff Weaver has gone from not being able to get anyone out, to Dan Haren. Weaver carried a 14.32 ERA and all Seattle losses in his first six starts. He has since pitched to a 1.64 ERA in his last five starts, four of which resulted in Seattle wins. His last three outings have been good, 3-0, 0.79. Dan Haren has suddenly looks as bad as Jeff Weaver did. After allowing just 15-earned runs in 12 starts, Haren has now allowed 13 in 4 starts with each getting progressively worse. Haren has pitched deep into games in every start he has made, and the accumulation of innings may have him saddled with a dead arm right now. Oakland is just 7-12 in their last 19 games and has managed three runs or less in 10 of their last 15. Seattle is 27-15 over their last 42, and has played as well as anyone. Can't ever remember seeing a money line this high against a team that is hot, with the hottest pitcher in baseball on the mound, have to take the value here.
