Seattle at Colorado

September 20, 2026
img3:10 PM Eastern

Seattle and Colorado combined for only eight runs last night, but that came from Jose Quintana and a Rockies bullpen that got through the late innings clean, nothing repeatable about this staff. This afternoon is a completely different pitching matchup. Tomoyuki Sugano has already allowed 31 home runs this season, a rate that only gets worse at altitude, and Kade Anderson is a rookie making just his sixth career start with control that hasn't settled yet. Colorado's staff carries a team ERA near 5.60, the shakiest full pitching group in the sport, working at the one ballpark built to punish exactly that. Seattle's own staff has already allowed close to 690 runs on the season, and the Mariners are a losing team on the road, under .400 away from home. Neither offense needs much help finding the thin air, and neither arm on the mound this afternoon is built to keep the ball in the yard. This is exactly the matchup Coors Field was built for. Back the OVER this afternoon.
