Luis Castillo was once an above-average starting pitcher. He certainly is not that anymore. Castillo is the weak link in Seattle's starting rotation. The Mariners are 1-5 in his six starts this season. It is easy to see why, since Castillo has a 6.29 ERA and a 1.66 WHIP, and this is having perhaps the best home pitching park in the American League. The right-handed Castillo is even worse on the road with a 7.07 ERA. He is likely to face a White Sox lineup stacked with a projected seven left-handed batters. One of these is Munetaka Murakami, who is tied with Aaron Judge for the major league home run lead with 15. Castillo should not be a road favorite. Southpaw Anthony Kay draws the start for the White Sox. He has pitched four scoreless innings against the Mariners in his career. Seattle has a losing record against lefty starters. Take the White Sox.
