San Francisco had a disappointing Opening Day as Aaron Judge hit a home run on his first swing and the Giants struck out 16 times. However, San Francisco has an opportunity to bounce back against Clarke Schmidt, who is in the starting rotation only due to several injuries to the other Yankee hurlers. The Giants finished 2022 winning 11 of their last 16 games and they will start Alex Cobb, who had a 3.73 ERA and 1.30 WHIP last season. Schmidt was 5-5 with a 3.12 ERA and this will be just his sixth start of his career and he appeared in 29 games in 2022 and had just cameo appearances the two seasons before that. San Francisco and Cobb are getting good value in this matchup and take the Giants as a Max Play.
