LOSS

Things were looking bad for the San Francisco Giants as they fell behind 2-1 in the World Series. They rose up big in game four and game five, and now have a 3-2 series lead, heading back to Kansas City for game six. They will turn to Jake Peavy who allowed 4 runs to the Royals in a 7-2 loss. Other than that performance, Peavy has been brilliant as the 4 runs allowed ended a streak of starts where he allowed 2 runs or fewer in 11 straight. Kansas City will go with 23-year-old Yordano Ventura, who beat Peavy last time around, but facing elimination this might be a lot to ask of a 23-year-old. The Giants have a lot of experience, and of all the great history in baseball as just one NL team has won three World Series championships over a five-year period, and the Giants are poised and positioned to do just that. The Giants own a 22-7 mark in their last 29 playoff games as an underdog, and are 8-2 in their last 10 playoff road games, including 5-1 in the World Series. The Giants close it out tonight.
