The Padres looked like they would be the headliner in MLB this season as they ruled the roost for most of the season. The pressure got to them as they have faded, closing at 12-22 over their last 34 games. They are down to their last chance. The Padres need a sweep here in San Francisco vs. a Giants team closing strong at 17-7 in their last 24. The Padres have really struggled vs. a right-hand pitcher where they are 7-16 over their last 23 games. They are also 0-5 in Richard's last five starts vs. a team with a winning record on the season. The Giants are dealing the death blow as a favorite behind Cain at home where they are 21-6, and 7-0 behind Cain in his last seven starts in the division. I'll go with San Francisco to wrap up the West tonight.
