The San Diego Padres are the worst offensive team in MLB. They have now gone 12 straight games without producing more than 4 runs in any of them, and that puts a lot of pressure on the starting pitcher, bullpen, and ultimately makes it tough to win. They are a slight road favorite in this one, which certainly tips value on the side of the Mets. Bartolo Colon has found the magic again as he is 3-0 over his last four starts and has not allowed more than 3 runs in any of them. The Padres are now 0-7 in their last seven games with a posted total of 7 to 8.5, and own a dismal 18-37 mark in their last 55 games vs. a right-handed starter. San Diego shows just one win in their last six in New York against the Mets. Back the home team Mets in this one.
