Blake Snell hasn't been the pitcher the Padres had hoped for as he has a 1-5 record and 5.22 ERA and 1.48 WHIP this season. Snell also has a 5.87 ERA in five road starts and he faced the Mets once this year and gave up five runs (four earned) on seven hits in only four innings. San Diego won last night's game, but it still has lost five of its past eight games while New York has won four of six and sits atop the NL East. Chris Bassitt has put together, including a 7-3 win over Atlanta his last outing while allowing one run on five hits in six innings. The Padres have lost Snell's last six road starts and they are 4-10 their past 14 road games overall and New York is 26-4 its past 30 games versus a team that gave up two or fewer runs its previous game.
