San Diego has won five of its six meetings with Colorado, which has already surpassed the 100-loss mark. This is a good opportunity for the Padres to snap a four-game skid, as the Rockies have lost seven of their past eight overall and six of their last seven home games. Colorado has lost nine of 10 against National League opponents, and it will send Kyle Freeland to the mound. Freeland started a fight in his last appearance against San Francisco when he took offense to Rafael Devers staring too long at his home run. Freeland obviously is frustrated with the terrible season he is having as he is 3-14 with a 5.41 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP. He should feel fortunate to still be in the big leagues. Nick Pivetta has allowed seven runs (six earned) in his past four starts in 23 2/3 innings, and San Diego has won three of them. Take the Padres.
