The San Diego Padres have been surprising a lot of people, and have put themselves in second place in the National League West with a hot second half of May. The problem is that almost all of that has been done at home. Josh Geer has not been part of that success as he has a 6.46 ERA over his last three starts. And on the road this season, the Padres are 0-3 when he takes the mound. The Padres road woes have bled over into this season, despite their home success. The Padres are now a woeful 31-66 in their last 97 road games. Jason Hammel has pitched his best baseball in his last three outings, where he has turned in a nifty 2.60 ERA, more than good enough to send the Padres down to yet another road defeat. I’m going Rockies here.
