San Diego at Colorado

San Diego comes off a 7-6 win over the Rockies on Monday in a game that went OVER by 3 1/2 runs and the OVER is 4-1-1 the last six meetings. Joey Lucchesi will make his second start for the Padres after pitching five shutout innings against Colorado on Thursday. However, that was at pitcher-friendly Petco Park, which is essentially the opposite of Coors Field. The Rockies counter with Tyler Anderson, who had has one good and one bad outing this season. The left-hander was pummeled for seven runs on five hits in 2 1/3 innings at Arizona before pitching six scoreless innings at San Diego. Anderson was 1-3 with a 7.71 ERA in April last year and a 6-6 record and 4.81 ERA overall. Colorado has lost five of its last six home games dating to last season and the Rockies have lost 10 of Anderson's last 11 starts after he had a quality start his previous appearance as he apparently has trouble putting two good performances together. The Padres are 6-1 OVER their last seven road games against southpaw starters. Play the Padres and also take the OVER.
