San Diego at Atlanta

The San Diego Padres took a chance on Yu Darvish. Darvish started just eight games in 2018 and had a miserable 2019 where he pitched his team to a 13-18 record. Many thought his best work was behind him. He didn't pitch until the second half of 2020 for the Cubs where he looked impressive enough for the Padres to give him a nice contract. He has been as good as ever as San Diego is 14-4 in his 18 starts where he has limited opponents to 3.44 runs per game. The Braves were expected to challenge this year, but it hasn't happened as they limp into this game at 45-47 and will give Kyle Muller (1-2) his fourth career start. This is a tough lineup to navigate for a rookie pitcher and a struggling team. Take San Diego behind a surging Darvish.
