For now, the signs point to this Pittsburgh team being different than any we have seen in the past decade or so. Last year the Pirates won eight of their last 35 road games on the season. They have matched that win total in just 14 games this year. I should also point out that of those eight wins were on the road down the stretch, two of them came in a three game series in Colorado. The pitching is looking much better and the Rockies have failed to rebound off a bad offensive performance at just 1-7 in their last eight plating two runs or less in their previous game. The Pirates are UNDER the total to a 12-4 mark on the road facing a righthander and with Maholm on the mound 13-5 to the UNDER vs a winning team on the road. I like Pittsburgh and the UNDER here.
