Pittsburgh at Cincinnati

The Pittsburgh Pirates took an ominous step they have taken the last two years. The Pirates have had two big first halves the last two campaigns, but proceeded to go in the tank after the break. The loss has to be on this young team's mind as they were beaten in the opener by the Reds 5-3. A.J. Burnett has certainly not done his best work vs. the Reds, where he is 5-5 with a 4.09 ERA for his career. Matt Latos is 8-3 with a 3.53 ERA, and he should be strong off the break as it looked as if he was tiring some before it. The Reds are now 31-16 at home, including 21-6 here behind Latos. The Pirates are a disappointing 8-17 in Burnett's last 25 starts. Play this one on Cincinnati.
