New York has taken all three of the first games in this series as the Phillies turn to Zach Elfin to avoid the sweep. Elfin has pitched well in his two appearances, alllowing five runs in 13 innings. The Phil's offense has not been very good this season, but they have produced 4.0 runs per game in day games, on the way to a 4-1 record in these games. The Mets offense is equally weak, managing just 3.2 runs per game at home this season. And, in day games, New York has produced a paltry 2.2 runs per game. Dating back to last season, the Mets are just 2-10 after winning back-to-back games. And, Jacob deGrom is just 22-24 overall the past three seasons. Back the Phillies to at least keep this close.
