Philadelphia vs. Minnesota

Jesus Luzardo has quietly turned into one of the better strikeout arms in the league, sitting at 10-5 with a 3.32 ERA and a better-than-average strikeout-per-inning rate for Philadelphia, and he draws a matchup against a fellow lefty tonight in Connor Prielipp, who's racked up strikeouts of his own for Minnesota despite a rockier 4.79 ERA. This is a trend I lean on every August: same-handed lefty starters squaring off. It's a career mark of 110-55 for me, and I'm 7-6 with it again this season. Both bullpens have a real weapon at the back end, too, with Jhoan Duran locking down games for Philadelphia and Yoendrys Gomez doing the same for Minnesota, and that keeps the door shut even if a starter needs to hand it off early.
