There is certainly nothing at stake in this series. The A's and the Rangers have seen any playoff hopes disappear a long time ago. Sometimes a bad team can elevate their play on the road vs a good team in a spoiler role, but with nothing to be gained by a win on the road vs a not-very-good Texas team, they are likely to underperform.
