Oakland at Seattle

Oakland totally blew last night's game after scoring six runs in the first two innings and then allowing the Mariners to tie it after two were out in the ninth, which included a costly error. The Athletics look to bounce back tonight with Edwin Jackson and they have won 13 of his 16 starts this season, including the last five. Jackson was the lucky recipient of a 21-3 win over the Angels on Thursday and he allowed two runs on three hits in 5 1/3 innings. Jackson is 6-3 overall with a 3.18 ERA and .217 opponent batting average. The right-hander has faced Seattle once this season and gave up one run on three hits in six innings. Felix Hernandez is having an off year with an 8-13 record and 5.46 ERA and the Mariners have lost eight of his last nine starts. Seattle is 8-23 its last 31 games following a win and 2-5 its last seven home contests. Back the Athletics.
