Oakland at Los Angeles

The Oakland A's continue to do more with less, morseo than any team in MLB. The A's payroll ranks last or second to last, very close to San Diego, but here they are not only solidly ahead in the wildcard race but just three games behind the AL West leading Rangers in the loss column. The Angels have not gotten out of Dan Haren what they had hoped, and they are just 10-15 in his 25 starts on the season. It's even more disappointing at home where he is 4-9 and has pitched to an ERA just shy of 5 on the season. As a favorite this season, Haren is juust 9-13 including 3-7 as a favorite of -150 or more! Oakland continues to get strong work out of Jerrod Parker who carries a 3.67 ERA into this one, in his inaugrial MLB campaign. Oakland is 37-30 this season vs. winning teams and 38-31 in all road games. The A's have been lights-out vs right-handed pitching where they are now an amazing 40-13 in their last 53.
