The A's no longer hold the lead in the AL West, but they have a thin 1.5 game margin of holding onto a playoffs spot. The A's have been 9-17 in their last 26 games, and what was while on auto pilot, and everything going right for so long has fallen apart, and they are not dealing with it very well. The A's used to pitch their way out of games with low totals, but that has changed as they are now 3-13 in their last 16 with a total from 7 to 8.5.
