New York at Baltimore

Despite their many disappointments this season, the Orioles are just 1.5 games back of the Mariners and White Sox for the second and third AL Wild Card spots. Baltimore finds itself a hefty underdog hosting the Yankees in a game moved up from its original start time due to the threat of inclement weather. It is understandable that the Yankees are such strong road favorites in a pitching matchup of Max Fried (4-2, 2.91 ERA) vs. Kyle Bradish (1-5, 4.83). But that doesn't mean there isn't value in backing the home underdog. The Orioles are 3-2 in the past five times when taking a plus price. The Yankees had been hot. However, they have lost five of their last seven games. New York is also dealing with multiple injuries. Starting shortstop José Caballero, DH Giancarlo Stanton, and outfielder Jason Dominguez, who recently became a starter, are all on the injured list. Bradish is on the comeback trail after Tommy John surgery set back his promising career. Improvement from him is expected as the season progresses. Take the Orioles.
