New York at Arizona

This is the second straight road game for the Yankees out West, getting blasted 12-2 yesterday. They lose the DH for this series, which is bad for a bad offense that is ranked #26 in runs, #24 in on base percentage and #27 in slugging. New York is 4-11 on the road and stuck with struggling Michael Pineda (1-4, 6.28 ERA). He has lost four straight decisions and was pushed back a day after being torched for six runs and six hits over 5+ innings in a loss to Kansas City. That rocky outing marked the third time in seven starts he has yielded six or more runs. Pineda has allowed 49 hits, nine homers, in 38+ innings with opponents hitting .306 off him. The Yankees are 5-16 in their last 21 road games. They face a strong Arizona offense ranked fifth in runs and slugging, plus #11 in on base percentage. The Diamondbacks have plenty of faith in Zack Greinke (3-3), with a 44-12 strikeout to walk ratio in 49+ innings. He has the stuff to shut down this weak New York offense and the Diamondbacks are 41-20 against a team with a losing record. Back Arizona.
