New York has a poor offense, No. 17 in runs scored, No. 24 in on base percentage and No. 28 in slugging. I can't trust Mets' lefty starter Jonathon Niese away from home, as he has a 2.54 ERA at home, but a 5.73 ERA away! Opponents hit .302 off him on the road. The Mets are 18-37 in their last 55 games vs. a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15 and face Ross Ohlendorf (3-0, 2.49 ERA), who has been sharp with his control and has been tough to hit. The Nationals are 38-18 in their last 56 home games vs. a left-handed starter and 16-5 against a team with a losing record. Ohlendorf owns a 2-0 mark with a 2.19 ERA at home this season and the Mets are 11-25 in the last 36 meetings with Washington, so grab the home field and play the Nationals.
