The Mets have won eight of 11, leading the NL East by two games over surging Atlanta, and they are 18-11 on the road this year. San Diego is home following a seven-game road trip and playing with no rest. Blake Snell will make his fourth start for the Padres and he has allowed eight runs in 15 innings this season. Carlos Carrasco is 6-1 with a 3.63 ERA for the Mets, who have won his last three outings, including 5-0 over Washington on Wednesday when Carrasco pitched five scoreless innings on four hits.
