One of the biggest surprises to start the 2014 season has been the play of the New York Mets. The Mets are out of the gate strong at 15-11 on the season. The Mets have received strong pitching, and won last night 6-1 in Philly to run their success against the Phillies to seven wins in the last nine meetings. The ageless one, Bartolo Colon, is now 40-years-old, and pitched a gem his last time out and has a strikeout to walk ratio of 26-3. Kyle Kendric is off a bad 2013. Despite pitching decently in 2014, he has yet to record a single win. The Mets' staff has allowed 3 runs or less in eight of their last nine games. Philadelphia has been overmatched at home vs. a team with a winning record where they are an ugly 1-6 in their last seven. Take the visiting Mets.
