New York at Kansas City

New York has enjoyed a resurgence lately, but the Mets still are only 28-39 on the road and lost again last night 4-1 to the Royals as Mike Montgomery allowed one unearned run in six innings. It was the fourth loss in the last five games for New York, which has cooled off following eight straight wins. Kansas City has won three of its last five and sends Jakob Junis to the mound tonight and he has won his last two starts while giving up three runs on 13 hits in 12 innings pitched.  Junis is 4-2 with a 3.32 ERA since the All-Star break compared to 4-8 and 5.33 the first half of the season. Jacob deGrom lasted five innings his last outing and gave up three runs in a 7-4 loss to Washington and the Mets are 3-7 his last 10 road starts and 7-15 his last 22 starts overall. There is huge value in the home underdog, so play the Royals.
