It appears Mets fans are in for yet another disappointing season, as New York has lost eight straight while scoring more than two runs in just one game. The absence of injured Juan Soto has been a key factor, but the whole team is underachieving after a three-game sweep by the Dodgers, during which the Mets were outscored 14-3. Chicago has won two in a row and three of four. The Cubs took two of three at Philadelphia while scoring 28 runs in the series. That is bad news for Mets starter Kodai Senga, who has a 7.07 ERA and a 1.71 WHIP this season. He allowed seven runs on eight hits in just 2 1/3 innings in New York's 11-6 loss to the Athletics on Saturday. Edward Cabrera has given up just three runs on 10 hits in 16 2/3 innings for Chicago.
