New York at Atlanta

The NY Mets are a team that was supposed to be a contender in the NL East, but have been far from it. They enter this game having allowed 5.41 runs per game. The Braves were considered the worst team in the NL East by many, and their 11-20 start to the season did nothing to change those opinions. However, the Braves have become a more than competitive team lately. Atlanta was 11-20 after May 10. They have since gone 16-12, which is a product of a pitching staff that has cut about a run per game of of their first 31 games average. The Mets are 2-6 coming into Game 1 of this doubleheader, while the Braves are playing as well as they have all season at 5-2 in their last seven. Take Atlanta in Game 2 of the doubleheader.
