Minnesota at New York

The MLB Wild Card rounds begin the one and done winner advances tonight. The Minnesota Twins are a team that lost over 100 games last season and head to New York to take on the Yankees. The Yankees have to feel good about where they are and who they are facing. Ervin Santana has had a great season for Minnesota, but in his career he has served up two HRs each to Bird, Halliday, and Frazier, as well as one each by Ellsbury and Judge. Moreover, the Yankees have dominated the Twins at the Stadium where they own a commanding 38-13 mark in the last 51 played in New York. When the line has been greater than -140, the Yanks are a deadly 33-7. The Twins have also dropped their last four playoff games in NYC, and I don't think that this team is ready for prime time. Luis Severino has turned into a top-of-the-rotation pitcher for the Yankees who had a great September, and look to keep the ball rolling in October. The Yankees should handle the Twins in this one, so take New York on the runline.
