New York has been surging following the All-Star break and the trades for Joey Gallo and Anthony Rizzo breathed new life into the team and the Yankees currently have won eight in a row and are only four games back of first-place Tampa Bay in the AL East. Gerrit Cole starts today and he is 11-6 with a 3.04 ERA and he gave up one run on two hits in 5 2/3 innings his last outing against the Angels on Monday. Cole has a .201 opponent batting average at home this season and in one appearance against the Twins he gave up two runs on five hits in six innings. Kenta Maeda has a 5.77 ERA on the road for the Twins, who are essentially tied for last place in the AL Central and they are 24-36 on the road. The Bronx Bombers have been a nightmare for the Twins, who are 22-67 the past 89 meetings. Take the Yankees.
