Minnesota at Houston

Houston lost to the Twins on Saturday, but the Astros still have by far the best record in the American League, a 15 1/2 game lead in the AL West, and a 33-11 road record. Mike Fiers has recovered from a slow start this season, Houston has won six of his last nine starts, and he hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in seven of his last eight outings. Fiers has a 2.91 ERA in day games, and hitters are batting less than .200 against him in June and July. In one appearance against Minnesota this year, Fiers gave up two runs in six innings. Kyle Gibson is 5-7 with a 6.31 ERA and was knocked out after four innings his last start against Baltimore last Sunday. Gibson was touched for seven runs on nine hits in an 11-5 loss for the Twins.
