The Minnesota offense is on fire, and so are the Twins. They have won the first two in this series, and are now 13-6 in their last 19. The offense has produced 6.7-runs per game (RPG) over the last three weeks and have scored 59 in eight games against the Tigers on the season, good for an even better 7.4-rpg. The Tigers after coming off a seven-game winning streak, are now in a lull, and have dropped 4 of 5. Jeremy Bonderman is 8-1 but hasn't pitched like an 8-1 pitcher with an ERA hovering around four. He must face a Twins team that has collectively hit .331 against him, and lifetime, Bonderman is just 2-6 with a 6+ ERA against the Twins. Coming into this season, the Tigers were just 32-31 in Bonderman's starts in 05-06, and an 8-1 record results in a distorted moneyline, especially with the success the Twins have had, and even more so with how good they are right now. Scott Baker is off of two impressive outings, allowing two and one runs respectively, and is starting to have the look of the pitcher the Twins thought he could be. The Twins have also pounded Tiger’s closer Todd Jones to the tune of a .305 career batting average against him, with players currently on their roster. All the numbers add up to considerable value in this one, so we will go with the Twins and the sweep.
