Minnesota was bolstered by Joey Gallo's return from the injury list as he hit a three-run homer in a 10-4 win over Boston on Wednesday that snapped a three-game losing streak for the Twins, who still lead the AL Central. The Red Sox have lost six of 10, are in last place in the AL East, and will send Tanner Houck to the mound for his fourth start of the year. Houck has gotten good run support, but hasn't pitched more than five innings in any appearance. Kenta Maeda has allowed five runs in 11 innings for the Twins, whose bullpen is tied for the major league lead in WHIP at 0.99. The Red Sox are 6-13 following a loss and Minnesota has won 11 of 16 versus right-handed starters dating to last season. The Twins are 11-7 on the run line, including 8-4 on the road.
