Milwaukee at St. Louis

The Milwaukee Brewers saw a seven-game winning streak come to a shrieking halt last night as the surging Cardinals beat them badly in a 10-0 shutout loss. The loss leaves the Brewers a game behind the Cubs for the second Wild Card playoff entry. Paul Goldschmidt once again did most of the damage for the Cardinals as he slugged a pair of HRs and drove in a career-high seven runs. Goldschmidt has been a one-man wrecking crew for the Brewers this season as he has hit eight HRs and driven in 20 vs. the Brewers this season. Goldschmidt is 12-for-26 (.462) with two homers and seven RBIs in his career against Brewers right-hander Jordan Lyles, and he can carry a team when he is swinging a hot bat.
