Multiple outfield spots are empty on the IL, Kris Bryant hasn't appeared in a game this season, and a 22-37 club at the bottom of the NL in runs scored was already out of answers. Tanner Gordon is the projected arm on the other side — carrying a mid-six ERA in 2026, working mostly in relief this year.
