The season was lost a long time ago for these teams. Miami hits the road for their final series of the year, and I'm sure they can't wait to get things over. Philadelphia is in the same boat, but they are at home where they actually have been decent at 36-42. The Marlins' road resume certainly does not bode well for them in this role as a favorite, as they have logged a 28-50 mark on the road this season. The Phillies have the home field here, and one last incentive as they need to win one more game to avoid the 100-loss embarrassment. The Marlins have shown little interest or focus on the road where they have lost six straight, and playing another poor team adds nothing.
