Miami at Milwaukee

We were in Miami last night and came up a run short, a 2-1 loss to Milwaukee that came down to one mistake in a game that could've gone either way. Tonight the argument is stronger, because the Marlins turn to Max Meyer, a legitimate NL Cy Young contender at 9-1 with a 2.58 ERA who's carried this rotation into wild-card position. He's fresh off the All-Star break, and his last time out was two runs over five clean innings against Seattle; Milwaukee hasn't seen him yet this year. Shane Drohan has pitched well enough for the Brewers, with a 3.09 ERA, but he's making his first career start against Miami and is coming off a tough-luck loss in Pittsburgh, three runs allowed on five hits while striking out six in a game he didn't deserve to lose. Milwaukee's the better team on paper, and the price reflects that, but this isn't a Brewers lineup facing an ordinary arm tonight; it's facing the best pitcher in this series by a wide margin. Miami is the play on the moneyline this afternoon.
