Miami at Colorado

Miami has made a habit out of the Rockies lately, seven straight wins in the series and a 14-3 blowout Tuesday that closed out a franchise-best 20-6 June. Colorado did sneak a win in Minnesota Saturday as a moneyline dog, proof that the Rockies can still cash a number when a bullpen implodes late. Tonight is a different problem. Kyle Freeland gets the ball again, and nothing about his season reads as anything but broken: 1-7, a 7.50 ERA, and a fastball that keeps getting squared up down the middle no matter how he adjusts. Max Meyer, on the other hand, is unbeaten at 9-0 with a 2.60 ERA, riding a Miami team that outscored opponents by 53 runs in June and is chasing a fourth straight series win tonight. Colorado's rotation ERA sits at the bottom of the league, and Freeland is the extreme end of that problem, not the exception. The Marlins don't need Meyer at his best to cover this number; they need Freeland to keep being Freeland. Miami wins on the runline tonight.

1 unit on Miami -1.5 runs -104 (runline) (risk 1 to return 1.96)
