Arizona took care of business Monday to open this series, and Tuesday night brings a rotation picture that finally looks settled. Torey Lovullo went with Michael Soroka over Zac Gallen for this turn, sliding Gallen into a relief role after weeks of shuffling arms around returning starters. Soroka has been the best of that group all year, sitting at 6-5 with a 3.40 ERA, and he's coming off his sharpest outing since returning from the injured list. Junk is fighting the opposite battle. He's 4-5 with a 4.58 ERA on the season, and September has been rough for him in particular, with a 10.13 ERA across his two starts this month. Arizona is 43-33 at home this year, and it's already up a game in this set against a Miami staff leaning on its depth pieces down the stretch. My read is that the mound gap tonight is real enough to decide this game on its own, and it's the kind of gap that shows up on the scoreboard against a lineup that's been finding ways to win at Chase Field all season. Take Arizona on the moneyline.
