Los Angeles at San Diego

The Los Angeles Dodgers have not gotten the mileage out of their highest payroll in baseball, as they are just six games over .500. The Padres have gotten some solid pitching of late, and come into this game a confident team as they have won back-to-back games for the first time in June. Ian Kennedy has posted a similar ERA to Dodgers starter Dan Haren. Couple that with San Diego coming in off a pair of wins and at home, I think we have the line value here on the home dog, or at least a pick-em type situation. The Padres don't score much, but they have out-pitched opponents in anticipated low-scoring games with a 4-1 mark in their last five games to a total of 6.5 or less. The Dodgers are just 1-4 behind Haren in his last five off a quality start in his previous appearance. Take San Diego.
