I had the Dodgers on the moneyline Tuesday when Yamamoto had the answers, and Cincinnati didn't. Two days changed the picture completely. Blake Snell lasted one inning Wednesday with a groin injury that could keep him out into October, and Los Angeles needed six relievers to cover the other eight, a bullpen that's now running on fumes heading into a getaway day. Justin Wrobleski gets the ball this afternoon, and he's not the pitcher who made the All-Star team in the first half. He was farmed out to relief work for most of the second half before this rotation spot opened up out of necessity, and he hasn't looked like a trusted starter since. Los Angeles wrapped up its playoff spot weeks ago and is sitting on a double-digit division lead, exactly the situation where a taxed pitching staff doesn't get pushed. Cincinnati's bullpen has quietly turned into one of the better relief groups in baseball down the stretch, more than capable of covering for Brady Singer, who's scuffled to a 5.38 ERA this year. The board is still pricing in the Dodgers team from July. I'm going with Cincinnati this afternoon.
