Los Angeles at Atlanta

I had the OVER in Game 2 on Sunday night, and it lost, with Atlanta winning 3-2 to even the series. Atlanta got here by beating Philadelphia two games to one in the Wild Card round. Los Angeles finished 100-62 to Atlanta's 94-68, and its lineup ranks second in the majors in OPS at .762 to Atlanta's .718. Most of the money is on the Dodgers. The pitching matchup is closer than those records. Chris Sale carries a 2.16 ERA into Game 3 and struck out 200 batters while walking 31 in 162.2 innings. Yoshinobu Yamamoto has a 2.53 ERA and the lower WHIP at 0.87, but Sale beat him 1-0 on August 27 by pitching nine innings and striking out 11 without allowing a run, while Yamamoto gave up one run in 6.1 innings. Atlanta has won six of the eight meetings between these teams this season, including the playoff series. I'm on the Braves tonight.
