Result:
LOSS

This is a major mismatch in Atlanta. Los Angeles is fifth in baseball in runs scored and #11 in on base percentage. Slugger Adrian Gonzalez hit a game-tying two-run homer in the sixth inning of Wednesday’s 5-3 victory and is 15-for-35 with eight RBIs in nine road contests this season. The Dodgers have ace Clayton Kershaw (2-0, 1.64 ERA) going, a three-time National League Cy Young award winner. He has struck out 20 in 22 innings and allowed two walks and 10 hits! The Dodgers have won his three starts by a combined 25-5. Kershaw has dominated the Braves in six career starts, posting a 1.79 ERA. While L.A. has plenty of offense, Atlanta has been a mess, #21 in runs scored, #23 in OBP, with no power, ranked last in slugging. The Braves are 3-23 when their opponent scores five runs or more in their previous game. Atlanta's 23-year old starter Matt Wisler (4.61 ERA) was smoked by the Dodgers last season, giving up eight hits and four runs in six innings. The Dodgers are 12-5 in the last 17 meetings and win this in a rout. Take the L.A. Dodgers to win by at least two runs.
