LOSS

The Texas Rangers continue to be a good team and they have hit well, but the biggest change has been the contributions of many in the pen. They have a team ERA of 3.88 over the last week, and five bullpen members have allowed nothing in 13 innings of work. That all adds up to a team that has gone 10-4 over its last 14 games and 6 of 7 at home. The Angels have really struggled against some teams you would expect them to roll over. They are now 2-6 against the Royals, Rangers and Orioles, and have produced just 28 runs in their last eight games. The staff ERA is over five and the bats have been slowed to a bad .232 average, and that is what makes for losing. Texas isn't feasting on cupcakes here they have done this against Detroit, Boston, and the Angels. Sometimes you have to step away from the pitching match-ups, and into what is happening on the field, and right now the Rangers are the better team.
