Texas has pitched its way through the season, leading the majors in runs allowed (487) and team ERA (3.43). They're trying to hang in the AL wild card race, 5.5 games back, but they hit a flat spot last night, losing 4-0 in the series opener. Texas has had trouble producing runs all season. They are 24th with 4.11 runs per game, 27th in average (.234), and 27th in OPS. Yusei Kikuchi starts for the Angels tonight, and he's pitched well this summer, allowing three earned runs or less in six of his past eight starts. He went seven innings last week in a 2-1 win vs. the Red, and gave up just one run on seven hits. The Angels own a 13-8 record UNDER vs. AL teams with a slugging percentage of .410 or lower, and Texas is 27-5 UNDER at home when favored up to -150. This sets up like a lower-scoring, divisional game. Bet the Angels/Rangers to stay UNDER.
