Los Angeles at Texas

I was on Washington against this Rangers pitching staff Tuesday, and it did not work out for me. Texas blew them out 5-0 to open that series. Reid Detmers takes the mound for the Angels tonight, fresh off the best start of his season: eight shutout innings and eleven strikeouts against Kansas City, and his ERA sits near 3.80 with a WHIP barely over 1.0 on the year. MacKenzie Gore has won four of his last five starts for Texas, including one against these same Angels on August 10, when he held Los Angeles to a single run across five-plus innings. Both offenses have gone cold at the wrong time. The Angels have dropped eight of their last ten games while averaging barely four runs a night as a team, and Texas has managed just four wins in that same stretch. Two clubs are playing out the string behind two starters who have owned recent lineups. The UNDER is the right side tonight.
