Minnesota split the first two games of this set, and the version of the Twins showing up in the finale has been the better story all month. They've gone 17-11 since June 10, second-best mark in the American League, and they're doing it with a red-hot lineup that leads the league in wOBA even with Byron Buxton sidelined. Taj Bradley takes the ball off one of his best stretches of the year, four straight starts allowing two earned runs or fewer, capped by seven innings and ten strikeouts against Cleveland his last time out. The Angels counter with Jose Soriano, who looked like a Cy Young contender early on but has carried a 5.12 ERA over his last 12 starts since the calendar turned to May. Los Angeles owns the worst record in baseball at 38-58, and a shaky defense behind Soriano only adds to the workload problem. This is a short favorite, and it's priced that way for a reason: one team is playing its best baseball of the summer, and the other is running out the string before the break. Minnesota is the play.
