The Detroit Tigers have not been playing their best baseball of the season, but tonight they may not have to. They will send their ace Tarik Skubal to the mound at home vs. the LA Angels. Skubel is a leading contender for the Cy Young Award in the AL. The Tigers are 46-17 when Skubel takes the mound as a favorite of -110 or more. Since the beginning of May, Skubel has made 16 starts and allowed two or fewer runs in 11 of them, as well as zero runs in six of his last 12 starts. The Angels have not been nearly as successful with Kyle Hendricks on the mound. Hendriks is just 4-6 on the season with a 4.60 ERA. Make the play on Detroit.
