Blake Beaven has vast potential, but has a lot to learn on the big league level. He took great strides in his last start, allowing 1 run over eight innings, by far his best outing in a big league uniform. He should take the mound with confidence here. The Royals have squandered opportunities vs. losing teams at 2-10 in their last 12, and this team is just 6-18 overall in their last 24, and the M's have cashed in on four of the last five in this series.
